Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time on-site Civil Project Manager to work with a client in the Washington D.C. area. The Project Manager provides project management oversight on water resources projects with a team of engineers. The Project Manager will serve as a technical lead for a variety of water related projects. The position requires developing strong working relationships with agencies, municipalities, and other consulting firms. Responsible for productivity of project team and ensures projects are on time and on budget. Mentors and develops less experienced engineers and/or technical support and assists in developing a solid team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with preparation of RFP documents and detailed designs for Clean Rivers facilities and rehab of Potomac Interceptor
• Perform technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
• Serve as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction
• Provides technical and design services in support of water infrastructure projects (i.e., water distribution and wastewater collection/pumping).
• Conducts preliminary evaluations, preparing various reports, producing design drawings, preparing technical spec ifications, preparing permit submittals, and manages bid negotiations for projects.
• Directs, coordinates, and supervises activities of project personnel and team members to ensure project schedules and budgets.
• Manages implementation of work plans, schedule, budget, project tasks and coordinating work with team members.
• Maintains client contact/relationships, effectively communicate on projects, attends project meetings (client, public, etc).
• Develops preliminary and final construction cost opinions for various projects
• Develops project scope, fee quotes, content and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts.
• Develops proposals and presentations including project understanding and approaches, and level of effort estimates.
• Assist Senior Project Managers in a variety of project administrative duties.
• Participate in business development activities, assisting in the creation of letters of response and technical proposals/presentations
• Serve as technical expert on task/project on water resources projects.
• Lead large-sewer rehabilitation projects from design/permitting phase through construction services

Requirements

Education and/or Experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• MD or VA PE or ability to obtain via reciprocity within reasonable first 6 months
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field of study
• PE in District or ability to obtain

This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $160,000 - $170,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and PTO.
