Little is looking for a
Civil Engineering Project Manager with a positive, collaborative work style to join our Land Studio in the
Tysons, VA office, in the
Washington, DC metro. This role is built around one of our valued corporate retail clients and an ongoing body of work. You'll be the primary point of contact for the client, manage the program of projects from concept through construction, and have a direct hand in growing the account. You'll lead and work alongside a team of engineers, landscape architects, and architects to produce and execute exceptional work.
The retail program is the core of this role, but our Land Studio works across a range of project types, so there's room to broaden your experience over time. You'll own the client relationship, run an active book of work, and have the autonomy and support to make it yours. If you want a clear path toward greater responsibility and account leadership, this is a place to build it.
What you'll do- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, and own the relationship day to day.
- Manage an ongoing body of work from concept and due diligence through construction documents, permitting, and construction administration.
- Prepare and oversee site visits, due diligence reports, construction drawings, and calculation packages.
- Lead permitting through multiple jurisdictions and keep projects moving through review.
- Track budget, schedule, and quality across the program, and keep the client informed at every step.
- Help grow the account by delivering strong work and identifying the next opportunity.
- Lead and mentor engineers and designers on the team, and raise the quality of the work the team produces.
You're a candidate we'll love if:- You're a talented engineer with experience across a broad range of clients, and a resourceful, creative problem solver.
- You take pride in your work and bring a positive, professional presence to a team.
- You're good with people. You listen well, you're truly interested in others, and you build consensus among clients and teammates alike.
- You're a strong communicator, in writing and in person. You make complex ideas clear, and you hear what people are really saying.
- You're organized and manage competing priorities well.
- You're comfortable navigating new jurisdictions and working with permitting authorities.
- You're passionate about design and hold a high standard for detail.
This is a position you'll love if:- You want to own a client relationship, not just a task list.
- You like running an active body of work and managing competing priorities.
- You want a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, with room to take on more over time.
- You value the chance to mentor others and strengthen the team, not just deliver your own work.
- You want to work directly with clients and a multidisciplinary team on projects across the country.
- You want to grow, and you're looking for a firm that will invest in you and open doors as you're ready.
Ideal candidates will have:- A degree in Civil Engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
