The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Project Manager, Client Delivery to support the Talent Accelerator service delivery teams by managing the project structure, processes, tracking, reporting, coordination, and escalation needed to keep client-facing projects organized and moving forward. This role provides the project management framework, operational visibility, and process consistency enabling teams to focus on delivering high-quality client service.
The Project Manager develops and manages the consistent use of standard tools, routines, and expected project protocols to ensure client-facing delivery teams and their work are organized, visible, and on track. The role develops, communicates, and maintains standardized project plans, timelines, milestone trackers, action-item logs, decision logs, risk and issue registers, status reporting cadences, meeting routines, data entry standards, and escalation protocols.
Responsibilities:- Maintains accurate project data within organizational business systems and reporting platforms
- Develops and distributes project status reports, dashboards, and portfolio-level reporting that provides clear visibility into progress, risks, capacity, and operational performance
- Supports leadership with reporting and analytics related to project progress, resource utilization, delivery commitments, and operational metrics
- Supports multiple client-facing projects by coordinating project process activities, maintaining visibility into milestones, and helping delivery teams stay organized and aligned
- Coordinates process-related activities across internal teams, training providers, and client stakeholders to support smooth handoffs, timely follow-up, and consistent communication
- Applies traditional and Agile project management tools and routines, as appropriate, to support project structure, visibility, and team coordination
- Supports consistent client communications in partnership with delivery leads and project teams throughout client-facing engagements
- Helps delivery teams prepare project updates, progress reports, meeting materials, and follow-up documentation that reinforce clarity and accountability
- Escalates significant risks, concerns, or decision points to appropriate leaders while maintaining a solution-oriented approach
- Ensures standardized project management processes, tools, routines, and expectations are consistently followed across client-facing work
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, quality, consistency, and service delivery support
- Monitors workloads, resource utilization, delivery commitments, and scheduling demands across the project portfolio to provide operational visibility to project leads and management
- Analyzes workload trends and project demands to provide recommendations to support planning, prioritization, and resource balancing decisions
- Identifies, documents, and monitors risks, issues, dependencies, and decision points that may affect project progress or delivery team execution

- Agile certification (PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner, or equivalent and preferred)
Experience:- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a client-facing environment required
- Work experience interfacing with business/industry/government executives
- Experience in workforce development, technical training, manufacturing training, or learning and development environments
- Familiarity with resource planning and portfolio management practices
- Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, and business intelligence applications
This is a hybrid position based in VEDP's Richmond office and requires employees to work in the office at least three days per week.
A valid Virginia driver's license is required with occasional domestic/international travel to client sites.
