Your role at GEI.

GEI Consultants, Inc. (GEI) seeks a Project Manager with a background in civil and/or water resources engineering capable of leading multi-disciplinary projects to join our Metro Philadelphia team. This individual will assist with the management and technical completion of ongoing projects that may include waterways, stormwater management, geohazards, site planning, permitting and design.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare proposals, develop project scope, budgets, and schedules, and perform project management.
  • Conduct planning, permitting, engineering analysis and design studies.
  • Provide technical review and direct staff-level engineers and scientists.
  • Manage and direct subcontractors.
  • Evaluate and analyze collected data and prepare technical reports, letters, and memoranda.
  • Develop construction drawings, technical specifications, bid documents and project schedules.
  • Perform construction engineering support as needed.
  • Participate in business development activities and contribute to office growth.


Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S (preferred) in Civil or Water Resources Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) in a MidAtlantic State (PA/NJ/DE/MD/VA) or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • 8+ years of previous professional experience in an AE Consulting environment.
  • Experience supervising, supporting, and directing staff.
  • Knowledge and experience with project management concepts and software.
  • Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel on temporary work assignments.
