Project Electrical EngineerPosition SummaryOur Advanced Technologies group is seeking a hands-on experienced Electrical Engineer to be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on projects that span a wide range of research area. The work will vary and encompass commercial, military or medical technology projects. Innovation and technical problem solving will be a major part of your position along with the ability to work productively with a diverse team of researchers. Experience developing both hardware and software for embedded systems is highly desired.
Qualifications- Hands on experience prototyping hardware devices
- Familiarity with schematic / PCB CAD tools.
Desired Qualifications- Experience with embedded microcontrollers (Nucleo, Arduino, Raspberry PI, PIC)
- Experience using PCB design software (preferred Altium)
- Experience developing application software for Windows, Android, Linux and LabVIEW environments.
- Experience with programming languages (C, C++, Python, Perl, Tcl)
- Familiarity with common communications protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, RS-232)
- High degree of comfort working on early phase research projects.
- Signal processing experience for commercial, medical or military applications a plus.
Education/Experience- 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent; Advanced Degree a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in hardware or software development.
