Overview
Seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our growing, employee-owned MEP consulting engineering firm. This role is ideal for an engineer with 5-10 years of experience who is ready to take ownership of project deliverables, serve as a key technical resource, and work directly with clients and project teams on complex facilities.
You will contribute to the design and delivery of projects across our Science & Technology and Mission Critical markets, including laboratories, life sciences and pharmaceutical facilities, telecommunications infrastructure, data centers, and secure environments. We are looking for a technically strong engineer who combines sound engineering judgment with excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities
Design and coordinate electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and emergency power systems.
Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
Perform electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, voltage drop analyses, and other design studies.
Support the design of standby power systems, generators, UPS systems, and critical power distribution infrastructure.
Evaluate existing electrical systems and develop recommendations for renovations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
Coordinate closely with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, structural, and owner teams throughout project delivery.
Participate in client meetings, site investigations, design reviews, and construction progress meetings.
Assist Project Managers with project planning, scope management, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
Support construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, field observations, and punch list activities.
Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leaders to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project goals.
