LocationThe position will be based on our project in Darlington, ON. The successful candidate will be
local to Darlington, Oshawa or surrounding areas, or
willing to relocate.

Responsibilities- Lead the development, continuous refinement, and upkeep of comprehensive project schedules and detailed cost estimates to guide budgetary planning and resource allocation.
- Closely monitor project milestones and performance metrics, promptly identifying potential deviations or risks, and implement corrective action plans.
- Establish, oversee, and improve project control systems and standardized procedures to maintain efficiency and compliance across all phases of construction.
- Collaborate seamlessly with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders to align project objectives and drive cohesive execution.
- Compile, analyze, and present insightful project status reports and forecasts to senior leadership to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practice methodologies within project controls.
- Mentor, empower, and manage a professional team of project control specialists, fostering continuous learning, high performance, and a culture of excellence.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline complemented by advanced certifications where applicable.
- Over 15 years of proven experience in project controls with a focus on industrial construction projects, demonstrating depth in complex cost management and scheduling.
- Demonstrable expertise in nuclear construction project environments, evidencing familiarity with specialized regulatory frameworks and safety protocols.
- Proficient use of industry-standard project management software and tools, exhibiting the capacity to leverage technology for accurate project tracking and reporting.
- Exceptional analytical prowess paired with strong problem-solving abilities to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear reporting and collaboration across diverse teams and leadership levels.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
