Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

Perkins Eastman has an exciting opportunity in New York for a highly motivated Project Architect who combines design excellence with technical expertise. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively to guide projects from pre-schematic design through occupancy, helping to deliver innovative and successful outcomes for our clients.

The individual will bring an affinity for developing options and resolving solutions for consideration by teammates and clients. This person will have a working knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, green building certifications, and project delivery. They will bring a passion for developing optimal solutions that meet our clients• aspirations and challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Advance design, programming and technical solutions in all design phases.
  • Present options through graphical and other means for team and client consideration.
  • Develop innovative, efficient, and resilient projects aligned with client goals.
  • Document designs with technical details with a range of software including REVIT.
  • Participation in and representation of Perkins Eastman in Owner meetings.
  • Apply knowledge of State & Local building codes, local zoning regulations, and referenced standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Implement the firm's BIM vision and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across project processes and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
  • Manage Revit models and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) setup and oversee drawing outputs across all phases.
  • Conduct clash detection and coordinate resolution processes using Navisworks.
  • Lead and participate in BIM coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure alignment on model expectations, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Interface with tools such as Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Visari, and other relevant software
  • Collaborate with the firm's global Design & Technology leadership to align digital strategies, standards, and protocols.
  • Serving as the single point of contact for all BIM-related matters
  • Oversee plugin deployment, software updates, printing and publishing of drawing sets.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree
  • 10+ years' experience
  • Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with project consultants.
  • Thorough knowledge of State & Local building codes and referenced standards.
  • Able to interpret, generate, communicate and present design intent and manifest that in phase-appropriate documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Possessing strong interpersonal skills - working with a team that emphasizes collaboration with engineers, owners, and builders and working in a focused and mutually respectful office environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency with REVIT, MS Word & Excel, Adobe, & Bluebeam is required.
  • Proficiency with Rhino, Navisworks, and REVIT plugins is preferred.
  • CPHD, LEED and/or WELL accreditations are a plus.
  • Architectural registration is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Newforma, Procore, and/or other construction project management software is required (training available)
