JOB SUMMARY:

The Project & Accounts Manager is responsible for successfully leading engineering projects from initiation through completion while serving as a trusted advisor to key client accounts. This role combines project execution, client relationship management, and business development to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project & Accounts Manager develops and maintains strong client relationships, identifies opportunities for additional services, and collaborates with technical teams to drive customer satisfaction, repeat business, and sustainable revenue growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and manage engineering projects from proposal handoff through project closeout, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, financial metrics, resource utilization, and profitability.
  • Conduct regular internal project reviews to proactively identify and mitigate risks, issues, and scope changes.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Negotiate project scope, schedules, budgets, and contract modifications with clients as required.
  • Foster client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new project opportunities within existing client accounts to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with technical and business development teams to prepare proposals, budgets, and project execution strategies.
  • Track and report key account activities, project status, sales pipeline, and revenue forecasts.
  • Support company growth initiatives through networking, client visits, industry events, and business development activities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, financial records, and CRM/account management information.
  • Champion a culture of safety, operational excellence, innovation, and client-centric service.
  • 60-70% Project Management and 30-40% Accounts/Client Relationship Management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience managing engineering, capital, manufacturing, industrial, or consulting projects.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, scope, resources, and financial performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and client priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success developing and managing client relationships in a professional services, engineering consulting, or technical sales environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, CRM systems, and financial tracking tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in AgProcessing, Food & Beverage, Pet Food, Life sciences, Pharmaceutical, Chemicals, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue growth and client retention goals.
  • Knowledge of engineering design processes, construction execution, and facility capital project delivery.
  • Experience developing proposals, work scopes, fee estimates, and contract negotiations.
  • Existing network of industry contacts and key decision-makers within the target markets.
