About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to provide overall leadership, contract management, customer engagement, and technical oversight for a U.S. Department of Education enterprise IT program supporting cloud hosting, systems operations, cybersecurity, and website modernization. The Program Manager will be responsible for successful contract delivery while ensuring schedule, quality, cost, security, and customer satisfaction.
Location:- Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (Hybrid)
- Candidates must reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.
- This position follows a hybrid work schedule and requires onsite support at a Government-designated location in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Clearance Requirements:- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Applicants selected for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a High-Risk Public Trust clearance.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Government background investigation and all applicable security requirements.
Salary Range: - The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000-$160,000 annually.
- Final compensation has not yet been determined and will be based on factors including contract award, position requirements, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary point of contact with U.S. Department of Education Government leadership.
- Lead cloud hosting, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and web development teams.
- Manage program schedule, staffing, risks, quality, financial performance, and contract deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with Federal requirements and Department of Education policies, including FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST RMF, Section 508, and OMB guidance.
- Provide executive-level reporting, monthly status reports, performance metrics, and program updates.
- Coordinate transition activities, ongoing operations, continuous improvement, and subcontractor performance.
- Support Agile delivery and ITIL service management practices.
- Maintain strong stakeholder communications and customer relationships.
- Provide technical and operational leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience managing complex Federal IT programs.
- U.S. Department of Education experience is REQUIRED.
- Demonstrated experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and web operations.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong understanding of Federal IT security, compliance, and operational requirements.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a High Risk Public Trust.
