About the Role
The Program Manager leads our on-site real estate support team and owns overall delivery, work integration, staffing, quality control, risk management, and day-to-day coordination with government leadership. This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who has run real estate or portfolio programs inside or alongside a federal organization.
What You Will Do
- Lead an integrated, multidisciplinary team supporting portfolio management, customer accounts, occupancy administration, space data, financial analysis, and amenity services.
- Own the program's quality control, risk management, and performance reporting, including exception-based reporting that surfaces decisions needed and emerging risks.
- Serve as the principal point of contact for government leadership and coordinate across facilities, security, budget, acquisition, information technology, and project delivery organizations.
- Direct mobilization activities, including a current-state review of real estate functions, workload, data, processes, customer relationships, and governance.
- Oversee development of standard operating procedures, process maps, templates, controls, and management dashboards.
- Manage knowledge transfer to federal staff, including desk guides, training materials, position descriptions, and structured transition sessions.
- Track deliverable schedules and ensure on-time delivery of recurring plans, inventories, trackers, and reports.
What You Need
- Ten years of progressively responsible program, real estate, or portfolio management experience.
- Five years supporting large or complex real estate organizations.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary professional services teams.
- Demonstrated experience with federal sector real estate programs.
- Experience supporting multi-tenant office portfolios or facilities exceeding 500,000 square feet.
Nice to Have
- Experience with federal occupancy agreements, rent and cost recovery structures, or GSA leasing and portfolio practices.
- Prior experience standing up a new real estate function or transitioning contractor-performed work to federal staff.
- PMP, CCIM, MCR, or FMP credential.
Additional Information
- This position is based on site in Washington, DC during core business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Employment is conditioned on the candidate receiving a favorable security investigation for unescorted access to a federal facility. Candidates who already hold a security clearance are encouraged to note it, though a clearance is not required for this role.
