Lead the development and advancement of TSMO and emerging technology strategies and solutions that improve system reliability, reduce congestion, system safety, enhance traveler information and incident response, and address evolving transportation and operational needs.
Serve as a national resource for pursuits or projects involving TSMO, ITS and emerging technology solutions
Direct the strategy, design, development, and implementation of integrated traffic data systems that collect, process, analyze, and distribute multi-source data, including detectors, probe data, connected vehicle feeds, CCTV, signal systems, and third-party sources.
Establish and lead the data architecture strategy supporting APIs and Center-to-Center (C2C) connections, ensuring scalable, secure, resilient, and interoperable data exchange across systems, agencies, and transportation partners.
Establish and oversee data governance frameworks encompassing data standards, quality controls, ownership, access policies, metadata management, and compliance with agency and industry requirements.
Provide technical direction for database and data-platform solutions, including relational, time-series, and cloud-based environments optimized for real-time operations, construction work zone data, historical analysis, and performance reporting.
Lead the evaluation and application of AI platforms, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance data exchange, generate predictive insights, and deliver actionable intelligence that improves transportation operations and planning.
