JOB SUMMARY

The role of the PMO Manager is to lead and manage a team of project managers that work cross-functionally to plan and execute programs that design and develop medical device products for our customer to subsequently be commercially manufactured at Jabil. This specific role sits within the Engineering and Technology (E&T) group, to manage the Healthcare E&T PM organization for North America. Furthermore, this role intends to efficiently leverage the resources through coordinated planning, communication, and alignment of cross-functional teams, to ensure the proper documentation, launching and customer satisfaction as per established and agreed targets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for leading the Project Management Team and governance of project portfolio.

· Collaborate with customer (internal or external) from quotation/planning phase through project start and closure - either as lead PM or PM Manager

· Staff, lead, and manage a team that has responsibility for design and development programs.

· Development and retention of employees, and succession planning.

· Align the project team to customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives based on input from all functional areas and stakeholders within the project

· Define, refine and maintain clarity on roles & responsibilities for the team and business partners.

· Provide a source of reference and training for Project Management covering processes, tools, metrics and reporting.

· Drive well-defined processes and methodologies that strive to optimize the team effectiveness, while delivering successful projects on schedule and within budget

· Identify the goals, objectives, and scope of E&T projects while working with relevant BU and divisional stakeholders.

· Work within the defined standards and procedures as set out by organization and the customer to successfully introduce new products.

· Instil regular and consistent communication between program teams, the business unit (key internal stakeholder), and the customer.

· Identify potential risks and make resolution suggestion through the escalation process

· Open and regular communication of priorities and status of projects with Senior Management and site leadership.

· Manage weekly project reviews for the Project Management organization.

· Responsible for forecasting functional area budget (when applicable) and staffing needs for current and future needs.

· Work with local Project Managers and/or Global Project Management Office in deploying strategies and tools, besides reporting site PM performance.

· Comply and follow all procedures within the company policies.

· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

· Demonstrated Leadership and Management capabilities.

· Knowledge of organization’s operating policies and procedures required.

· Knowledge of organization’s culture and guiding principles.

· Previous experience in design and development environment: Engineering, Testing, Quality, Planning, etc.

· Prior experience in customer interface.

· Strong operational and financial knowledge required.

· Substantial knowledge of Jabil and demonstrated ability to leverage organization.

· Consultative skills (ability to understand true customer needs).

· Excellent communications skills.

· Distinctive problem-solving leader.

· Should have the following personal characteristics: strong leader, professional, resilient, agile, detail-oriented, reliable, calm under fire, creative, with a can-do attitude.

· Knowledge in the Design Control process for Medical Device development.

· Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

· Demonstrated high performance orientation, detail orientation, market knowledge and sound judgment.

· Demonstrated ability to build and leverage partnerships, implement change and manage projects.

· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering).

· Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.

· Minimum 7-10 years work-related experience required in a supervisory/management role.

· Minimum +5 years project management experience or related discipline.

· Or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
