Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a technical field related to diesel engines, electrical, or heavy equipment.
• Solid understanding of diesel and gas engines, power fundamentals, and electrical controls.
• 3 years of professional experience as a technician in a relevant field.
• 310T license is an asset but not mandatory for applicants.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work behaviors in line with health and safety policies.
• Prepare and modify products to customer specifications, including gensets and engines.
• Conduct pre-job hazard assessments and mechanical repairs in the shop.
• Perform troubleshooting and recommend repairs or upgrades for equipment.
• Utilize testing and calibrating equipment for accurate diagnosis and servicing.
• Submit detailed service reports and documentation promptly.
• Connect load banks in a test environment and manage engine overhauls.
