Resource Label Group is seeking a Production Manager to join our team in Wood Dale, IL. This position will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Production teams. They will directly influence a positive work environment that drives a proactive culture of safety and employee engagement, while providing leadership to the overall operations of our Deco Label facility.
Responsibilities: - Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
- Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
- Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
- Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.

- Have experience of utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools & techniques.
- Have a minimum 5 years' experience leading a production team.
- Understand Continuous Improvement principles and can Manage CI projects.
Qualifications:- A minimum six (6) related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Position may require a Lift Truck Operator's Certification.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Posted Pay Range: $85,000 - $92,000
