USAC's target compensation range for a new hire into this position is $80,000 - $105,000 USD per year. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors based on knowledge, skills, and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process. Working in a creative and fast-paced environment, the Product (UX) Designer II position is responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered digital experiences, bridging the gap between user needs and business goals. Unlike junior designers, a Product (UX) Designer II is expected to take more ownership of their work, lead design workshops, handle complex tasks with less supervision, and actively influence the product development process.
Responsibilities
User Research & Analysis: Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to identify user personas, behaviors, and pain points.
Design & Prototyping: Translate research insights into wireframes, task flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Help maintain and contribute to USAC's design system. Maintain design and interaction consistency across products.
Iterative Testing: Lead usability testing sessions to validate design concepts and refine them based on direct user feedback.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure design solutions align with business objectives, technical constraints, USAC's design system, and UX best practices.
Presentation & Advocacy: Present design work and rationales to stakeholders, advocating for user-centered solutions.

About You

Prototyping: Ability to create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes to test complex logic and edge cases.
Process: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Human-Centered Design principles.
Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multitask and problem-solve, and ability to self-motivate and work with little supervision to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
