Product Quality Assurance Supervisor

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician Supervisor to join our Quality Assurance team in Easton, PA. This full-time position reports to the Global Quality Assurance Manager. The Laboratory Technician Supervisor will provide leadership and operational oversight to the laboratory operations while managing critical quality processes. The successful candidate will oversee Product Evaluation Request (PER) logistics, analysis, and closeout procedures while leading a team of laboratory technicians to ensure the highest standards of product quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct leadership and supervision for laboratory operations and technical staff focusing on performance management, workflow efficiency, and staff development
  • Oversee daily lab operations, ensuring effective prioritization of work to meet business needs
  • Manage comprehensive PER logistics from initiation through material handling, assignment, analysis, review, and final closeout
  • Ensure timely and prioritized lab review of all PER according to established protocols and identify and remove process bottlenecks, standardize workflows, and implement process improvements
  • Communicate critical findings and recommendations to Quality Assurance, Application Engineering, and Sales teams
  • Develop, implement, and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for laboratory operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of laboratory activities and results
  • Implement corrective action programs based on analysis of quality data and testing outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies within the laboratory environment
  • Serve as coach and mentor to laboratory and technical staff, fostering accountability, engagement and growth

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related technical field
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, with demonstrated history managing laboratory operations or customer incident management systems.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and operational processes in a structured environment.
  • Experience driving process improvements, workflow optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical analysis tools
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and testing equipment
  • Understanding of corrective action programs and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements

Key Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills; motivate and guide a diverse technical team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
