Full Job Description
McLeod Software is seeking a Product Owner to help drive the strategy of our McLeod Software Implementations. In this highly collaborative role, you'll serve as the voice of the customer to our development team, translating customer and business needs into clear priorities that deliver meaningful product value.

What You'll Do

  • Own, manage, and prioritize the product backlog based on customer needs, business objectives, and product strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders and the Product Manager to define and refine product requirements.
  • Serve as a strong advocate for the customer throughout the development process.
  • Create and refine user stories, ensuring they are development-ready
  • Communicate priorities, customer needs, and business value to the development team.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Quality Assurance to ensure solutions address the right customer problems.
  • Support product and release planning across cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute customer, market, and competitive insights to product decisions.
  • Develop customer personas independently or in partnership with User Experience teams.
  • Create and maintain clear, accurate product documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and influence outcomes without formal authority.

  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or similar technologies is highly preferred.


Education & Experience

Candidates should have one of the following combinations of education and relevant experience:

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; or 8+ years of experience in product ownership, business analytics, and/or project management or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience. McLeod experience may be substituted for other experience on a year-for-year basis.

This position requires an average of approximately 5% travel, which may occasionally include overnight or weekend travel.
