About this role:

Gartner Conferences is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Product Owner to lead the roadmap, execution, and ongoing evolution of our Conferences Marketing Technology ecosystem. This role will own marketing platforms and digital experiences that drive attendee acquisition, engagement, and conversion, with a strong focus on Eloqua, Salesforce integrations, lead lifecycle management, and marketing automation capabilities, while supporting conferences growth and business objectives.

The Product Owner serves as the bridge between Marketing, Conference Leadership, Technology, UX, Data & Analytics, and other business stakeholders. This individual will define and execute product strategies, mentor product team members, and ensure conference marketing platforms deliver measurable business value.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in marketing technology and marketing automation platforms, digital products, web experiences, customer acquisition journeys, and data-driven decision making, along with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

What you'll do:

Ownership of Product Strategy and Roadmap
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the roadmap for Conferences Marketing Technology platforms and digital experiences.
  • Align product priorities with conference business goals, attendee growth targets, and marketing strategies.


Digital Experience Optimization
  • Drive initiatives that improve attendee acquisition, engagement, registration conversion, and overall customer experience.
  • Leverage customer insights, analytics, testing, and stakeholder feedback to inform product investments and optimization efforts.


Product Execution and Delivery
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlog items.
  • Partner closely with development, UX, analytics, and business teams to deliver high-impact solutions.


Marketing Technology Leadership
  • Own and enhance marketing technology capabilities, including Oracle Eloqua and related marketing automation platforms.
  • Partner with Marketing, Technology, and Sales Operations teams to support Salesforce integrations, lead management processes, and customer data flows.


Stakeholder Leadership
  • Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Conference Leadership, Technology, and other business stakeholders.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities, product performance, and delivery progress to support informed decision-making.


Analytics and Performance Management
  • Define success metrics and use data-driven insights to measure performance and guide prioritization.
  • Evaluate marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and conversion metrics to drive continuous improvement.


Coaching and Best Practice Leadership
  • Mentor Product Owners and peers on product management best practices.
  • Promote customer-centric thinking, agile methodologies, and outcome-based product management.
  • Contribute to the evolution of product management standards and practices across the organization.


Conference Support and Innovation
  • Support major conferences through planning, execution, and post-event analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance conference marketing experiences through innovation, emerging technologies, and stakeholder feedback.


What you'll need:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, Digital Experience, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, digital products, marketing technology, or website platforms.
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to define product vision, influence senior stakeholders, and align initiatives with business outcomes.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Strong understanding of website ecosystems, customer acquisition funnels, marketing technologies, and conversion optimization.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Demonstrated experience leveraging customer insights, behavioral analytics, and feedback to inform product strategy.
  • Analytical Excellence: Ability to interpret complex data, define KPIs, and drive decision-making through measurable outcomes.
  • Communication and Influence: Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Agile Product Management: Deep understanding of agile principles, product backlog management, release planning, and iterative delivery.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Experience coaching team members and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and understand technical constraints, dependencies, and opportunities.
