Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Data & Analytics Product Owner with a focus on Legal and Global Trade Services (GTS) to work with a diverse and highly competent team and participate in building an innovative and effective data platform to support business transformation. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data products and solutions that support the GTS and Legal team's objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of both data analytics and financial processes, as well as strong communication and leadership skills.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Collaborate with the GTS/Legal Team to understand their data and analytics needs, including financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis requirements.
  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap, in close collaboration with business units and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain a product backlog based on stakeholder feedback, business priorities, and strategic objectives.
  • Prioritize features and user stories based on business units and stakeholders feedback, business value, and other factors.
  • Define and maintain acceptance criteria and ensure that they are met during product development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Data and Analytics Team and the GTS/Legal Team, providing regular updates on project status and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Design, build and lead workshops to gather required information that will guide the development of the future-state solution.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics for data products and use insights to continuously improve and optimize the products.
  • Act as an ambassador and promote the data product defined with the business partners (users and consumers).

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or other related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in agile methodology and backlog management.
  • In-depth understanding of GTS/Legal data flow and its use in management decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, SQL, and data visualization tools (PowerBi).
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to clearly articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in an open team environment, employing a collaborative, continuous improvement and innovation mindset.
  • Excellent business acumen, with an ability to connect the dots and tell stories using data.
  • Experience with Jira, Microsoft Power BI, data visualization, SQL, Snowflake, machine learning or artificial intelligence. (an asset)

The selected candidate will be based in Montreal or Sherbrooke.
