Full Job Description
As the Product Education Content Producer based out of our Irvine, CA office you are responsible for developing engaging educational content that transforms ASICS product knowledge, technologies, innovations and seasonal stories into clear, memorable and effective learning experiences for store staff. Partnering closely with the Store Staff Training/ASICS Insider team as well as Product, Category, Merchandising, Global Marketing and others, you will help to identify and produce content that store staff want to consume, interact with and return to through the ASICS Insider app.

You will also identify opportunities for educational content to be adapted, repurposed or utilized across relevant consumer-facing channels. Content developed for ASICS Insider may also support consumer-facing channels such as e-commerce, email, digital platforms and other marketing communications provided it meets the needs and requirement of those audiences and channels.

Responsibilities:

Content & Production:

  • Develop content and production approaches that effectively communicate complex or technical product information in a way that is easy to understand, engaging and memorable for store staff


  • Find opportunities for content to have broader relevance and potential application across appropriate consumer-facing channels


  • Applies strong knowledge of audience engagement, digital content, social-first storytelling, brand, product and channel requirements to develop compelling educational content ideas that are relevant to how store staff consume, interact with and learn from content


  • Devises innovative content approaches for product education, including short-form video, social-first content, visual storytelling, interactive learning experiences and other digital formats while identifying opportunities to adapt or repurpose high-quality educational content for relevant consumer-facing channels such as e-commerce, email and other digital or marketing communications


Research:

  • Research product information, technologies, innovations, benefits and seasonal stories with Product Category, Merchandising and other subject matter experts


  • Utilize audience insights, performance data and feedback from Store Staff Training/ASICS Insider Team to identify product knowledge gaps, educational opportunities and ways to improve future content


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with in-house Content Department specialists and external production partners, where appropriate, to determine that most effective approach to bring educational content ideas to life


  • Support the development and production of content for other ASICS categories, Global Marketing initiatives and areas of the ASICS business when required while maintaining Product Education and Store Staff Training as the role's primary area of focus


  • Regular collaboration with partners in Europe, including approximately two calls per week to accommodate European time zones.


Innovation & Improvement:

  • Champion ASICS Kaizen approach by leading regular retrospectives as well as consistently looking for ways to improve quality, relevance, engagement and effectiveness of product education content and the efficiency of the content development process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media or related field


  • 5+ years' experience in digital content creation, content production, social media, marketing, education, training or related field ideally within the sporting, footwear, apparel, fashion, retail or consumer goods industry


Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Demonstrated experience developing engaging digital and social content for a defined audience


  • Strong understanding of social-first content, short-form video and the principles of audience engagement including what encourages people to stop, watch, interact and return to content


  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical or product-focused information into simple, clear, engaging and memorable content


  • Experience developing content strategies and creative approaches based on audience needs and business or educational objectives


  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to gather information and develop effective content


  • Strong understanding of content production techniques and processes across video, photography, design, post-production and other multimedia formats with the ability to determine the appropriate production approach and work effectively with specialist production resources


  • Experience developing creative and production briefs while directing internal and external production partners


  • Experience managing external agencies, production companies, freelancers or specialist partners is preferred


  • Excellent communication, presentation and people skills


  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders


  • Knowledge of Monday.com project management tool is a plus


Location: Irvine, CA. This role is based in our Irvine, CA office and is primarily office-based. Employees are expected to work from the Irvine office four days per week, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Expected Salary Range: $85,000-95,000/year
