Process Engineer

Position Overview

Join a team where you'll make a visible impact on one of the industry's most advanced hard surface manufacturing operations. We're seeking a Process Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys solving complex problems, driving continuous improvement, and bringing new technologies online.

In this role, you'll provide engineering support for our profile production line and oversee the SPC regrind process stream. You'll work alongside operations, maintenance, corporate engineering, and R&D teams to improve equipment reliability, drive process optimization, reduce downtime, and support the installation and commissioning of new equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on manufacturing, project leadership, and making meaningful contributions to plant performance.

What You'll Do
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and implement solutions to improve safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.
  • Analyze production and quality data to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the startup and commissioning of new equipment and process improvements within the regrind operation.
  • Partner with R&D to coordinate and evaluate product and process trials.
  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Corporate Engineering teams to improve asset reliability and operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Develop and manage capital and expense projects related to equipment upgrades and process enhancements.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Coach, train, and support production associates while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
  • Serve as a champion for safety and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Mentor and provide project leadership for engineering co-ops and interns.
  • Present project updates and performance metrics to plant and corporate leadership teams.
  • Lead and support special projects that contribute to facility goals and long-term strategic initiatives.


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree required; Engineering degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Minitab, and other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Project Engineering experience (including co-op or OMT experience).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Willingness to complete Six Sigma training if not currently certified.
  • Experience with continuous manufacturing processes, milling operations, or high-volume production environments.
  • Experience supporting equipment startups, process optimization, or capital projects.
