WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient polymerization operations within our production facility. This role delivers hands-on technical leadership to optimize processes, enhance product quality, and maintain high manufacturing standards. You will help drive continuous improvement efforts while supporting safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. Your expertise will directly influence equipment reliability, cost efficiency, and long-term process sustainability.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Troubleshoot process issues and equipment malfunctions across reactors, blend tanks, extruders, pumps, and conveying systems.
- Maintain process documentation including SOPs, P&IDs, equipment drawings, and equipment files.
- Support and improve process control systems (PLC/DCS), instrumentation, and data analysis capabilities.
- Ensure all process changes comply with safety, environmental, industrial hygiene, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct Hazard and Operability Reviews (HAZOP) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) and follow through on action items.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, or cost performance.
- Design and gain approval for development runs related to new products or process modifications.
- Lead and manage capital projects supporting product and process performance enhancements.
- Train operations personnel in process safety, control systems, and equipment operation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in process operation, control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Salary range for this position is $78,000 - $117,700 per year. The posted salary range reflects the national average for this role. Final compensation may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications. This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus in addition to base salary.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING- BS or MS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1-5 years of experience in a chemical plant or similar manufacturing environment, with accountability for specific unit operations.
- Experience with project engineering and process control systems.
- Proficiency in process control, instrumentation, and automation.
- Experience with extrusion systems, blending operations, or material handling equipment is a plus.
- PLC/DCS experience preferred.
