Responsibilities
The Process Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives by leading the standardization of manufacturing processes and products. All initiatives are to support and improve safety, quality, productivity, and throughput. This position, located in Wilkes Barre, PA collaborates with operations to identify opportunities for process improvements, scrap/rework reduction, and overall yield improvements at both the Pennsyvania and Ohio sites. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and part drawings.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively and deliver presentations before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Training in statistics in school and on-the-job preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Minitab, 3D Design Suite (CAD), preferred.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and engineering drawings.
Travel to the Ohio site may be required (up to 25%).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work performed in an office and factory settings. Exposure to the manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment. Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, and odors. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting up to 20 lbs as required.
