Position Description: CGI is seeking a Process Development & Documentation Analyst to partner with Engineering & Construction (E&C) subject matter experts to establish, document, and maintain foundational operational processes and Methods & Procedures (M&Ps). This role will focus on discovering how work is performed today, translating technical and operational knowledge into clear and repeatable processes, and helping create documentation that supports consistent execution across engineering and construction operations.
The ideal candidate is a skilled process analyst and technical documentation professional who is comfortable interviewing SMEs, navigating ambiguity, and converting tribal knowledge into structured procedures and process flows. Experience supporting technical or engineering operations is required, with telecommunications experience involving Outside Plant (OSP) and/or Inside Plant (ISP) Engineering strongly preferred.
This role is based in Dallas, Texas working under a hybrid model.
Your future duties and responsibilities: How you'll make an impact
. Partner with Engineering & Construction SMEs to discover, define, and document current and future state operational processes.
. Facilitate SME interviews and working sessions to capture tribal knowledge, operational requirements, decision points, dependencies, and process variations.
. Develop and maintain clear Methods & Procedures, process documentation, work instructions, and supporting operational materials.
. Create process maps, workflows, and swimlane diagrams that clearly illustrate roles, handoffs, dependencies, and end to end activities.
. Translate complex engineering and construction concepts into accurate, structured, and user friendly documentation.
. Identify process gaps, inconsistencies, unclear ownership, and opportunities to improve standardization across engineering and construction workflows.
. Independently drive process discovery and documentation activities in environments where requirements or existing processes may not be fully defined.
. Collaborate with technical stakeholders to validate documented processes and ensure materials accurately reflect operational practices.
. Support ongoing maintenance, version control, and governance of process documentation as operational requirements evolve
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Demonstrated experience in process discovery, process development, business process analysis, or operational process documentation.
. Strong Microsoft Word skills with experience developing professional, detailed Methods & Procedures, work instructions, or similar documentation.
. Proven ability to interview technical SMEs and convert tribal knowledge into clear, repeatable, and actionable procedures.
. Experience developing process flows, workflow diagrams, and swimlane documentation.
. Experience working with technical, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or similar operational teams.
. Ability to independently organize and drive work in ambiguous environments with limited existing documentation.
. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex workflows, identify dependencies, and document operational requirements.
. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strongly Preferred
. Telecommunications industry experience supporting Outside Plant (OSP) and/or Inside Plant (ISP) Engineering. Fiber construction or fiber network deployment experience.
. Experience conducting field observations or validating documented processes against field operations.
. Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar AI enabled productivity tools to support documentation workflows.
. Experience with document repositories, document lifecycle management, version control, or governance processes.
. Exposure to large scale telecom build programs or Falcon type engineering and construction programs
. Experience with Adobe Creative Studio Suite is a plus!
Other Information:
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $63,700.00 - $148,600.00.
