Private Events Catering Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the catering staff in all duties including training new associates, overseeing event set-ups and directing temporary personnel in addition to their every- day assignments. Ensuring proper service to clients during events, including set-up and breakdown procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise all catering events and team members throughout service
Manage monthly inventory
Input monthly declining labor
Hire and train new employees
Track and monitor server's hours per each event.
Communicate on various levels to include management, associate level and clients.
Generate BEOs for regular basketball season/playoffs.
Submit tips for servers when working at bars
Create signs and PID's for regular and basketball season/playoffs
Schedule catering staff for events based on event size and needs
Submit schedule on mystaff
Email availability form to all employees for their new shifts
Send staff schedule -smartsheet
Responsible for consistently implementing the service standards and operating procedure in the catering service.
Manage each event waste logs
Keep track/collect all temperature logs
Input and correct/edit servers card time
Enforce catering procedures to the team
Work closely with GM and management to improve team performance.
Maintain and charge all POS for bar sales.
Work closely with catering chef's during events
Attend weekly BEO meetings
Supervise/maintain pantry organization and cleanliness
Requisition input and put away
Managing end of events logistics
Track and control last minute schedule changes
Ensuring that last minute scheduling gets handled with HR and security guidelines. (Amy and mystaff gets updated)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of food service/hospitality experience, including team management
ServSafe Certification
Proficient in computer skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand, walk for an extended period
Lift objects less than or equal to 25 pounds
