Full Job Description
We're looking for a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join Procore's Compute Division to work on our FedRAMP initiative. In this role, you'll help build Procore's next-generation construction compute platform for others to build upon, including Procore developers, analysts, partners, and customers.

As a Principal Site Reliability Engineer, you'll partner with other engineers and product managers across Product & Technology to develop and maintain compute platform capabilities that enable SaaS based products to operate in a FedRAMP compliant environment. To be successful in this role, you're passionate about distributed systems on the cloud with experience in operating and maintaining cloud based products at-scale. This position reports to the Director of Infrastructure Platform and and is a hybrid role based out of our Austin, TX office. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

This position requires US citizenship to work on FedRAMP-compliant projects. Candidates must be eligible to work on federal government projects requiring FedRAMP authorization.

What you'll do:
  • Participate in the design and implementation of our next-generation data platform for the construction industry, primarily focused on building and supporting distributed systems
  • Support our engineering team in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, development, testing and roll-out, and support
  • Help identify and propose solutions for technical gaps in our platform by running proof of concepts and experiments
  • Work alongside our Product, UX, and IT teams, leveraging your experience and expertise in cloud technologies to influence our product roadmap, developing innovative solutions that add additional capabilities to our tools
  • Stay up to date with the latest data technology trends


What we're looking for:
  • Experience operating kubernetes clusters
  • Experience provisioning and operating cloud native tools at scale
  • 4+ years of experience as a CKA, CKD
  • 8+ years of experience building and operating cloud-based, highly available, distributed, and scalable systems with large amounts of data
  • Experience and proficiency in managing infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM etc.)
  • Direct hands on experience in a FedRamp compliant environment preferred


Additional Information

Base Pay Range:
198,240.00 - 272,580.00 USD Annual

This role may also be eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.

This position requires access to technology, software, and data that is controlled or restricted under U.S. law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.
