Full Job Description
This is not a traditional principal role.

We're looking for someone who can design and drive how work gets done-not just manage it.

As a Principal, you are responsible for turning complex, ambiguous client challenges into structured systems, workflows, and operating models. You don't just execute within a process-you define it.

You lead workstreams end-to-end, guiding teams to uncover how organizations actually operate, where breakdowns occur, and how to rebuild those systems in smarter, more effective ways.

This role is for someone who combines strong execution with emerging strategic thinking-someone who can move from problem to structure to action with confidence.

What You'll Do

Design and Lead Workstreams
  • Own end-to-end delivery of workstreams across engagements
  • Translate ambiguous client needs into clear plans, workflows, and outputs
  • Ensure work is structured, sequenced, and executed effectively
Uncover and Model How Work Happens
  • Lead discovery efforts to understand how teams operate, make decisions, and move work forward
  • Build current-state and future-state workflow models that expose inefficiencies and opportunities
  • Identify where processes should be improved vs. fundamentally redefined
Drive System-Level Improvements
  • Recommend and design better ways of working grounded in real constraints
  • Introduce and apply new tools, including AI-enabled approaches, to enhance workflows
  • Treat experimentation as a disciplined part of delivery
Deliver High-Quality, Actionable Outputs
  • Produce clear, structured deliverables that translate complexity into direction
  • Ensure outputs are practical, implementable, and aligned to client needs
  • Maintain high standards for quality, clarity, and usability
Lead and Elevate the Team
  • Mentor Senior Analysts and Analysts, helping them build systems thinking and problem structuring skills
  • Provide direction, feedback, and support across project teams
  • Contribute to a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement

What We're Really Looking For

  • 5-8 years of experience in consulting, marketing, analytics, or a related field
  • Strong systems thinker who can connect workflows, decisions, and outcomes
  • Proven ability to turn ambiguity into structured plans and deliverables
  • Skilled at uncovering how work actually happens through effective questioning and synthesis
  • Comfortable challenging existing processes and proposing better alternatives
  • Actively exploring and applying AI and emerging tools to improve how work gets done
  • Treats experimentation as a core part of the job
  • Takes ownership of outcomes and drives work forward independently
  • Strong collaborator who can work across functions and push toward meaningful change

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently delivers high-quality workstreams end-to-end
  • Structures complex problems into clear, actionable approaches
  • Identifies and drives meaningful improvements to workflows and systems
  • Applies new tools and methods to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develops and elevates team members through mentorship and guidance

Why This Role is Different

You're not just managing work. You're defining how it gets done-and making it better.

$90,000 - $129,000 a year

The final compensation within this range will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of the candidate's relevant professional experience, educational background, skill set, and overall alignment with the responsibilities and requirements of the role. Candidates who demonstrate significant experience, specialized expertise, or exceptional qualifications may be considered for compensation at the higher end of the range.
