Job Summary

Responsible for managing Inventory and Reconciliation analysts and coordinators. Accountable for 340B Inventory Replenishment and Reconciliation with the clients. Responsible for executing an operating plan/project plans for a specific team, ensuring work is performed according to defined policies and procedures, quality and productivity standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all activities related to inventory replenishment and reconciliation, analysis and trending of client data, profitability, and working with stakeholders to improve program profitability.
  • Manages relationships between clients, wholesalers, Sales, Community Management and other Walgreens' teams to investigate and resolve escalated issues.
  • Establishes relationships across the company, collaborating on critical issues, requiring an understanding of a broad range of issues, systems and processes ranging from accounting to pricing to IT systems and their interrelationships, and requires the development of relationships across the company and with outside third-party companies to ensure that this crucial function is planned and implemented seamlessly.
  • Communicates and provides ongoing inventory related support to district staff, store management and other corporate departments by addressing inventory issues, policy and procedure questions.
  • Evaluates inventory related programs for scalability on an ongoing basis and provides recommendations.
  • Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace. Participates in hiring process to ensure adequate resources.
  • Sets and reviews priority for system development. Works with senior leaders and 340B Analysts and others in determining requirements for projects, testing, and implementation.

External Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in business operations or inventory related programs OR a high school diploma/GED and at least five years of experience in business operations or inventory related programs.
  • At least one year of experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members.
  • Experience collaborating with both internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department and company goals within budget and established timelines.
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience articulating and communicating information and ideas to varying audiences (clients, vendors, stores, corporate management) and in multiple written styles (persuasive, informative, and narrative) in order to negotiate/gain access to information and records.
  • Experience presenting to and coordinating senior level meetings, including preparation of agendas, documenting meeting minutes, sending out documents to attendees.
  • Intermediate level skill with Visio software.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
  • At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in 340B or other Government funded programs.
  • Experience in Pharmacy Inventory processes and systems.
