This role reports into the above mentioned office, however NORR offers all of its employees the opportunity to work either from home or from a NORR office.

Justice architecture demands multi-faceted design to uphold and express the legal process, and achieve efficient and functional operations, while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Our experience in the design of judicial buildings spans more than 30 years across all levels of government including courthouses, police facilities and detention and correctional centers.

As a Principal/Director, Major Projects, you will lead the successful delivery of our most complex and large-scale projects. Serving as a senior project delivery leader and Centre of Excellence member, you will influence how projects are delivered across the sector and organization, while mentoring the next generation of project and technical leaders.

You Will Make an Impact by
  • Leading the successful delivery of large scale and complex projects from pursuit through completion.
  • Providing executive oversight of sector project delivery, performance, quality, contractual commitments, and managing risk.
  • Partnering with Practice Leaders, Operations, and Studio Managers to strengthen project delivery excellence across the organization.
  • Mentoring and developing Senior Project Managers while building future project leadership capability.
  • Advancing project delivery standards, governance, and best practices as a member of the Centre of Excellence.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders, strengthening long-term partnerships through exceptional project outcomes.
  • Supporting strategic pursuits by contributing project delivery expertise during planning, client presentations, and interviews.

You will Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional designation preferred (e.g., Architect, PMP, Professional Engineer, or equivalent industry certification).
  • 15+ years of progressive experience leading large, multidisciplinary projects within an Architecture, Engineering, or professional services environment.
  • Proven success delivering projects involving significant technical, financial, risk, and stakeholder complexity.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor Senior Project Managers and technical leaders while leading through collaboration and influence.

The hiring base salary range for this vacant position is $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as education, experience, internal equity and skills.
