Job Summary
Client is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to provide enterprise-level technical leadership across DevOps and Platform Engineering initiatives. This individual will partner with Architecture, Development, Infrastructure, Cloud, Operations, and Security teams to drive modernization efforts, establish engineering standards, and build scalable, secure, and automated cloud platforms. The role focuses on platform engineering, CI/CD standardization, Infrastructure as Code, cloud architecture, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership across enterprise DevOps and Platform Engineering initiatives.
• Partner with Architecture, Development, Infrastructure, Cloud, Operations, and Security teams to drive cloud modernization and platform engineering efforts.
• Establish engineering standards and implement scalable, secure, and automated cloud platforms.
• Design and implement enterprise DevOps platforms and lead enterprise-wide DevOps or Platform Engineering initiatives.
• Drive CI/CD standardization, pipeline implementation, and automation to enable continuous integration and deployment.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Support cloud architecture and platform engineering initiatives using AWS services, including Auto Scaling Groups, Security Groups, Route 53, S3, and IAM.
• Support Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms and DevSecOps practices.
• Promote cloud security and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive technical strategy.
Required Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise DevOps platforms.
• 5+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide DevOps or Platform Engineering initiatives.
• Strong AWS experience, including Auto Scaling Groups, Security Groups, Route 53, S3, and IAM.
• Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms.
• Experience implementing and automating CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Git and enabling continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Experience with DevSecOps and cloud security.
• Strong background in platform engineering and cloud modernization.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams and driving technical strategy.
