The PositionThe Principal Enterprise Architect - Adobe Experience Cloud & AI will define and drive the enterprise architecture for Novo Nordisk's Adobe ecosystem, with primary responsibility for Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Experience Platform. This role will ensure that AEM, AEP, and the broader Adobe Experience Cloud operate as a unified ecosystem connecting content, customer data, analytics, personalization, decisioning, journey orchestration, and activation across channels.
RelationshipsThis position reports to the Associate Director, Business Applications. The position interacts with multiple NNI internal functions, such as Omnichannel Campaign Operations, Marketing Operations, Market Development/HCP Engagement, Brand teams, Commercial Operations Planning, all business application teams, infrastructure operations, security, the global IT architecture team and the global analytics team, as well as external operational vendors and agencies.
Essential Functions- Analyses & Fulfils Business Needs:
- Leverages knowledge of the business and industry to influence and impact the decision-making process and the development of future strategies
- Partners with Enterprise Architecture, business leaders to ensure that solutions are sustainable and assist with the organizational change management process
- Serves as a valued advisor to stakeholders by anticipating needs and developing solutions that are aligned with business strategies
- Leverages Technology Principles, Knowledge & Practices:
- Serves as the primary technical authority for the Adobe CX Platform, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for web and content delivery, and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) for customer data management, segmentation, activation, personalization, and journey orchestration.
- Defines and governs the end-to-end Adobe architecture, including data flows between AEP and AEM, integration with downstream activation channels, Real-Time CDP configuration, and AI/ML-driven personalization frameworks.
- Manages It Vendors:
- Ensure technology vendors have mature products and services
- Understands & Applies Risk Management Practices:
- Ensure recommended solutions used are robust and sustainable
- Builds Relationships & Influences Key Stakeholders:
- Builds trusting, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, which help accomplish key business objectives
- Develops and communicates strong, fact-based rationales to build support for ones perspectives and initiatives.
Physical Requirements0-10% overnight travel required.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field required. Solid relevant experience may be substituted when appropriate
- Minimum of 5 years experience in pharma, biotechnology, or healthcare IT
- A minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including Sites, Assets, Forms, and headless/hybrid delivery architectures
- Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including Real-Time CDP, Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and data ingestion/activation frameworks
- Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target for measurement, testing, and personalization
- Adobe's integrated CX Platform ecosystem, including cross-product data flows, identity stitching, and unified customer profile architecture
- Adobe's latest AI and Generative AI capabilities, with demonstrated experience in assessing organizational readiness and leading end-to-end implementation of AI-driven features across the Adobe platform stack
- Strong general business understanding and IT architecture skills
- Significant experience with evaluating and implementing new technologies
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal relationships
- Ability to lead a project in the development and implementation of processes and programs
- Ability to understand the architecture of systems and how applications integrate into those systems. Ability to work effectively as a member of a solution development team
- Ability to work independently
The base compensation range for this position is $120,300 to $222,600. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
