Practice Leader to join our team. The Practice Leader (Manager or Director) is responsible for leading the practice team, ensuring the consistent execution of established systems, structures, and processes. This role is critical to enhancing superior practice performance, engagement of team members and overall patient experience. The Practice Leader acts as a bridge between all staff and senior leadership/doctors, ensuring that operational goals are met and that the practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Supervision: Oversee all practice staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Training & Onboarding: Lead the training and onboarding process for new staff members, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
- Daily Coordination: Conduct daily morning huddles to align the team on goals and priorities.
- Scheduling & Timekeeping: Maintain accurate employee schedules and oversee timekeeping to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Shift Management: Ensure all shifts are adequately covered, adjusting as necessary.
- Licensing & Certification: Monitor and verify that clinical team members maintain up-to-date licenses and certifications.
- Recruitment: Manage the recruitment process to attract and retain qualified staff.
- Communication Facilitation: Serve as a liaison between doctors and staff to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Staff Meetings: Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss updates, address concerns, and ensure team alignment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, including AAASF certification standards.
- Employment Law Compliance: Ensure that all practices adhere to employment laws and regulations.
- Performance Management: Lead performance management efforts, providing coaching and support to staff members to help them achieve their potential.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field (required).Knowledge of EMR software.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a medical office, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a plastic surgery or similar healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in staff management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and patient care.
- Familiarity with healthcare software systems (EHR/EMR) and medical office procedures.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.
- Strong background in inventory management, vendor relations, and business operations.
- Certification in Medical Office Management, Healthcare Administration, or similar (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).
- Leadership and team management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of plastic surgery procedures and treatments is a plus.
