Power Supply Design Engineer in Rochester, NY As a Power Supply Design Engineer, you will: Have strong expertise in power converter design to support the development of advanced communication systems. This role focuses on designing and validating power supplies for ruggedized radios and accessories, working across the full product development lifecycle in a collaborative, cross?functional environment.
- Design and develop power converter and power supply design (single? and three?phase) power supplies (50W-2kW)
- Simulate, analyze, and validate power supply designs at board and system levels
- Perform testing and verification to ensure performance and compliance
- Provide technical guidance on schematics, layouts (rigid and rigid?flex), and validation plans
You should have: - Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, Master's with 4+ years, or 10+ years of relevant power supply design experience
- 3+ years of experience with schematic capture tools (DxDesigner or PADS preferred)
We prefer: - Experience with LTspice and/or MATLAB
- Knowledge of isolated converter topologies, PFC, and MIL?STD?704/1275
- Familiarity with EMI design/testing (MIL?STD?461)
- Experience in manufacturing environments and configuration management
Salary Range: $110-140K/Yearly. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
