Details- Location: Long Beach, CA (hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
- Employment type: Full-time
- Career level: Entry to mid-level
- Salary range: $90,000 - $115,000. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.
What you'll do- Apply engineering principles to plumbing design on medium to large healthcare projects
- Perform engineering calculations, technical drawings and construction documents
- Participate in BIM coordination, project meetings and design quality reviews
- Prepare construction estimates, specifications, and proposals
- Conduct field investigations and data collection, and attend job walks
- Review submittals, RFI, shop drawings and support the construction administration activites and produce meeting reports and punch lists
- Collaborate with clients, senior engineers, and project teams to deliver successful projects
- Travel to job sites as needed
- Grow into project budgeting, scheduling, mentoring of junior engineers, and business development
What you bring- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- 1-4 years of engineering design experience post-graduation, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
- Working knowledge of Revit; AutoCAD is a plus
- Familiarity with the California Plumbing Code, National Plumbing Code, and California Energy Code
- Familiarity with HCAI codes, standards, PINS, and CANS, and with NFPA-99 (or a strong interest in learning them)
