Full Job Description
**TO BE UPDATED BY RECRUITING**

Develop drawings, specifications, schedules and techniques to complete projects on schedule and on budget. Schedule all work so that the Ashley facilities' needs are met, while ensuring the pricing is the most economical.
Oversee all aspects of project bidding, including preparation of bid packages, solicitation of bids, qualification of contractors and negotiating of contracts. Ensure that bids are received in a timely manner to obtain the most competitive pricing.
Oversee quality control and inspection of construction projects including concrete placement, structural welds and roof installation to ensure the project is completed properly. Review work during construction and completed work in place.
Approve all invoices and progress billings and forward to appropriate area for payment. Scrutinize for value and compare with lien waivers to ensure that no liens are filed. Verify that the hold back amounts are sufficient to complete remaining contract work.
Track and keep daily logs on projects. Accurately check and supervise time and material projects.

Select, hire and supervise project engineers, architects, surveyors, environmental and geotechnical testing agencies. Prepare related bid documents, negotiate the best possible price with the most qualified contractor and verify their work is performed accurately and competed timely.
Provide periodic facility inspection to review all aspects of site and building including equipment, maintenance items and damage. Set up and review periodic inspection of all domestic manufacturing and distribution center facilities.
Make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area's goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities.
Audit, maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.
Communicate company and departmental issues and goals and facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.
Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods and materials.
