Description:

Physician Assistant – Cardiothoracic Surgery – Step Down Unit – Rotating Shifts

Every day, we are meeting the needs of patients with extraordinarily diverse problems, performing over 1500 complex cardiac procedures each year including hybrid, minimally invasive and robotic procedures.

In this role, your responsibilities will primarily consist of assisting on the Step Down Unit for Cardiothoracic Surgery.

This role requires 3 12.5 hour shifts per week, rotating between day and night shifts.  There will be weekend and holiday coverage.

PreferredCriteria:

  • At least 1 year of experience in caring for post-surgical patients , however, strong new graduates will be considered.

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Physician Assistant studies

  • NYS licensure

  • NCCPA certification

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$161,000-$210,000/Annual
