Role PurposeThe Payroll & Timekeeping Specialist serves as a subject matter expert providing strategic oversight, compliance management, and process optimization for timekeeping and payroll operations. Key efforts focus on system enhancement, root-cause analysis, data reporting, and stakeholder governance across large workforce populations.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process redesigns, support system implementations/upgrades, execute testing, and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze workforce, attendance, and labor metrics to build reports, dashboards, and audit controls; perform root-cause analysis on recurring payroll discrepancies.
- Monitor adherence to company policies, labor laws, and collective bargaining agreements; interpret and apply complex pay rules.
- Oversee timecard/payroll transaction accuracy, validate exception reports, manage cutoff schedules, and resolve escalated execution issues.
- Partner with HR, Operations, Finance, and leadership to provide consultation, resolve complex inquiries, and drive workforce management projects.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Analytics, Business Administration, or Industrial Relations.
- 3+ years of dedicated experience in Time & Attendance, Workforce Management, Payroll, or HR Operations.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%-30% domestically for cross-functional alignment and team meetings.
Preferred Qualifications- Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Analytics, Business Administration, or Industrial Relations
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site, manufacturing, or unionized employee environments.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise workforce management software such as UKG Pro WFM, Kronos WFC, ADP, or similar platforms.
- Background in leading system implementations, process redesigns, operational projects, and internal compliance reviews.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analytics, report writing, and evaluating complex business workflows or data interfaces.
- Strong capability to analyze complex payroll rules, investigate root causes, and develop effective operational solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to consult, advise, and partner across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams, resolve interdepartmental challenges, and manage change.

We are unable to offer sponsorship for employment visa status for this position.Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
Other CompensationThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
