Full Job Description
The team

We are responsible for finding and signing Liberis' partners of the future. We manage opportunities across the full business development lifecycle, from identifying the right prospects through to signing agreements and supporting new partners as they prepare to launch.

This includes:
  • Identifying and qualifying potential partners
  • Building relationships and leading early-stage conversations
  • Shaping the scope of each partnership and helping define the product and proposition
  • Developing commercial proposals and negotiating partnership agreements
  • Working with teams across Liberis to support onboarding and launch

The role

Your primary focus will be helping Liberis secure new partnerships.

This is a varied role with the opportunity to take full ownership of partnership opportunities while contributing to some of our largest and most complex global deals. You will work with prospective partners and colleagues across Commercial, Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Legal and Risk.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Shaping, owning and progressing partnership opportunities from initial conversation through to agreement
  • Researching and qualifying opportunities within the early-stage pipeline
  • Building strong relationships with prospective partners and understanding their priorities
  • Defining the scope, product and commercial proposition for new partnerships
  • Producing high-quality partner materials, including presentations, proposals and commercial models
  • Driving proposals, negotiations and deal cycles for global enterprise opportunities
  • Coordinating internal teams and maintaining momentum throughout the deal process
  • Leading the handover and onboarding of new partners ahead of launch
  • Representing Liberis at relevant industry events and using them to develop new opportunities
  • Contributing to best practice and improving how the Business Development team operates

What we are looking for

  • You'll have 3-6 years experience in business development, partnerships or a related commercial role, with some exposure to complex B2B deal cycles.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, payments or SaaS would be helpful, but isn't essential.
  • You will bring an ability to learn quickly, exercise good commercial judgement and implement structure to opportunities involving several internal and external stakeholders.

We think success in the role comes down to four areas:

  • Depth of understanding: You will develop a strong understanding of our products, platform and financial solutions, as well as the markets in which we operate. You should be naturally curious and able to get to grips with new business models and unfamiliar topics quickly.
  • Relationship building: You can build rapport with a wide range of people, both internally and externally. You will be comfortable working across different business functions and communicating with stakeholders at different levels of an organization.
  • Commercial acumen: You have good commercial instincts and can identify what matters in a potential partnership. You can understand different commercial models, contribute to negotiations and balance the needs of Liberis with those of the partner.
  • High-quality execution: You can bring structure to complex and sometimes ambiguous deal cycles. You are organized, reliable and able to manage several workstreams while maintaining attention to detail.

From a personal perspective, we are looking for someone who:

  • Takes individual accountability and follows through on commitments
  • Is comfortable working in an environment where not every answer is immediately clear
  • Approaches problems in a structured and practical way
  • Is naturally curious and keen to learn
  • Communicates clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing
  • Enjoys working collaboratively but is equally comfortable taking ownership

What happens next?

Think this sounds like the right next move for you? Or if you're not completely confident that you fit our exact criteria, apply anyway and we can arrange a call to see if the role is fit for you. Humility is a wonderful thing, and we are interested in hearing about what you can add to Liberis!
