Qualifications

• Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner required.
• Arizona license or eligibility is essential.
• Surgical patient care experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
• Certification in BLS, ATLS, and ACLS is mandatory.
• Preferred certifications include PALS, ABLS, and NRP.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively during trauma activations in the trauma bay.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of trauma patients.
• Manage clinical tasks by ordering tests and consulting specialists.
• Perform key procedures such as chest tubes, central lines, and intubations.
• Ensure continuity of care by being a consistent presence on the team.
• Coordinate care through effective communication across various channels.
• Document patient interactions thoroughly and maintain accurate records.
• Facilitate smooth transitions of care through discharge planning with case managers.
