Job DescriptionThe Overhead SIGINT Mission Engineer is a member of a high performing team developing novel and innovative approaches to applying overhead SIGINT capabilities to solve some of the nation's highest priority intelligence challenges. The Overhead SIGINT Mission Engineer works with an elite team of analysts to develop comprehensive tasking plans that most effectively utilize overhead SIGINT. The Overhead SIGINT Mission Engineer applies detailed knowledge of current and future overhead SIGINT capabilities to support feasibility analysis, CONOPS development, and systems engineering and integration to meet compelling national security needs.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide detailed knowledge of current overhead SIGINT capabilities in support of mission analysis, modeling, and CONOP development
• Coordinate reach back to additional subject matter experts as required
• Contribute to the development of comprehensive overhead SIGINT tasking plans
• Liaise with mission analysis and technical requirements teams
• Support development of SIGINT-level architectures and integration of new capabilities
• Support periodic customer reviews
• Support the development of strategic, executive communications, and decision briefings in support of customer priorities, acquisitions, and missions
• Other duties as assigned
QualificationsRequired Education:- Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) with at least 8 years of experience relevant to role
- Understanding of DOD/IC satellite systems and architectures
- Understanding of overhead SIGINT collection missions
- Prior overhead SIGINT mission and/or acquisition experience
- Ability to work on ambiguous problem sets
- Ability to work collaboratively with personnel from multiple functions and at all levels of the customer organization to deliver results; strong networking, interpersonal, customer service skills, team building and problem-solving skills with an ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience developing executive level briefings, white papers, and correspondence
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to plan, track and maintain due dates for multiple taskers and products
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated sustained superior performance
- Available to travel domestically
Desired Attributes: - Advanced degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math)
- At least 13 years of relevant experience
- At least 7 years of NRO/Intelligence Community experience
- Prior SIGINT experience
