Position Overview

-We are seeking a driven and connected Outside Sales Representative to expand our footprint with telecom carriers, data centers, and enterprise clients.

-This role is responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth for our installation and infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and Develop new business opportunities within:

  • Telecom Carries (Comcast, Verizon, At&t, Cox, etc.)
  • Data Centers & colocation facilities
  • General contractors & infrastructure partners


Promote and sell Velocity's Service offerings, including

  • inside plant (ISP) installations
  • Outside Plant (OSP) fiber & coax construction
  • Structured Cabling (CAT5/6, fiber)
  • DC power systems & grounding
  • Equipment installation, testing, and turn-up


Build and Maintain Strong Relationships with:

  • construction managers
  • network operations teams
  • procurement and vendor management


Generate and manage:

  • RFP/RFQ responses
  • project bids and proposals
  • scope development and pricing coordinating with operations


Conduct site Visits, client meetings, and project walkthroughs

Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure:

  • Accurate scoping
  • Smooth project handoff
  • high customer satisfaction


QUALITIFATIONS

3+ years of outside sales experience in one or more:

  • Telecommunications
  • data center infrastructure
  • construction/low-voltage systems


Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, including:

  • Fiber optics, coax, and structured cabling
  • ISP/OSP environments
  • DC power systems (preferred)


Existing relationships within telecom or data center industry highly preferred

Ability to read and interpret:

  • Network diagrams
  • Construction drawings
  • Scopes of work


Proven track record of:

  • Generating new business
  • Closing deals
  • Managing long sales cycles


Self motivated, organized, and results-driven
