Full Job Description
Why this role is on the menu

We are looking for a seasoned Oracle Fusion ERP Technical Analyst to join our Financial Systems team and accelerate a portfolio of Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R) and Procure to Pay (P2P) transformation initiatives. In this role you will own the design, development, and delivery of custom reports, data integration interfaces, document templates, and REST/SOAP API solutions within Oracle Fusion Cloud - enabling finance and cross-functional stakeholders to operate with greater speed and accuracy.

The Financial Systems team owns the technology backbone for Instacart's finance operations, managing Oracle Fusion, Zip, Billing Platform, OIC, HighRadius, Workiva, and FloQast. We partner closely with Finance, Platform Engineering, and the CTO organization to drive transformation initiatives that scale with the business. You'll work on meaningful projects, see your contributions in production quickly, and have a direct line to executive stakeholders.

What you'll cook up in your first year

Reporting & Analytics
  • Finance reporting requirements are met through a production-ready Oracle BIP library: data models, RTF templates, and scheduled bursting jobs are built and maintained, and parameterized BIP reports are exposed as REST endpoints for programmatic access by external systems and dashboards.
  • Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC) extracts are configured and maintained for data warehouse integration and downstream analytics, giving finance stakeholders scalable, reusable access to financial data.

Document Customization
  • External-facing document templates, including Invoices, Credit Memos, Statements, and Purchase Orders, are designed and customized using RTF and XML Publisher, with corporate branding, conditional logic, and dynamic data sections applied to meet audit and customer experience standards.
  • Sub-templates and style templates are built and maintained to enforce consistent formatting across the full document library, reducing one-off customization work.

Data Integration & FBDI
  • File-Based Data Import (FBDI) templates and automation scripts are production-ready for bulk data loads across AR, AP, GL, and other Fusion modules, and inbound/outbound interface files (CSV, XML, JSON) are built and maintained for integrations with billing platforms, collections tools, and third-party financial applications, with load errors troubleshot, data mappings validated, and interface specs documented.

API & Systems Integration
  • REST and SOAP API integrations are live between Oracle Fusion and systems including Billing Platform, HighRadius, Workiva, and FloQast, designed and implemented using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and BIP-generated endpoints, with reusable integration patterns for inbound and outbound data flows aligned to CTO org architecture and API governance standards.

Transformation Project Support
  • O2C, R2R, and P2P transformation workstreams have clear technical specifications, with solutions documented in Confluence, development tasks tracked in Jira, and accurate status updates delivered to executive stakeholders through steerco and roadmap planning cycles.

The secret ingredients we're looking for

Must-have pantry staples (Minimum Qualifications)
  • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud technical development experience.
  • Deep expertise in Oracle BIP: data models, RTF templates, XML Publisher, parameter-driven reports, and bursting.
  • Proven experience building FBDI templates across multiple Fusion modules (AR, AP, GL, FA, or similar).
  • Strong BICC configuration and data extraction experience for analytics and data warehouse use cases.
  • Experience designing and customizing Oracle Fusion invoice templates and other external-facing transactional documents using RTF and XML.
  • Proficiency with XML, XSLT, and XPath for document and data transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or equivalent middleware for REST/SOAP API development.
  • Strong written communication skills - comfortable producing technical specs, interface docs, and steerco-ready summaries.

Optional garnishes (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud certification (Technical or Financials track).
  • Experience integrating Oracle Fusion with Workday, HighRadius, Workiva, FloQast, or billing/collections platforms.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and solution design documentation.
  • Exposure to BI Catalog management and OTBI reporting.
  • Experience with Oracle Smart View for Office for ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financial Reporting Studio (FRS) for building formatted financial statements.
  • Familiarity with Financial Data Integration (FDI) for managing data load rules, mappings, and data management workflows (nice to have).
  • Exposure to Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) for building lightweight web UIs or extending Oracle Fusion applications.
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced technology company.
  • Prior involvement in large-scale ERP transformation, module implementation, or re-platforming projects.

About Instacart

Instacart is an American company that operates a grocery delivery and pick-up service in the United States and Canada. The company offers its services via a website and mobile app. The service allows customers to order groceries from participating retailers with the shopping being done by a personal shopper. Instacart was founded in 2012 by entrepreneur Apoorva Mehta, a former Amazon.com employee. Apoorva was born in India and moved with his family to Canada in 2000. He studied engineering at the University of Waterloo and graduated in 2008. He was a participant in Y Combinator's Summer 2012 batch, which eventually led to the creation of Instacart. In 2013, Mehta was included on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Apoorva previously worked at BlackBerry, Qualcomm, and then Amazon as a supply chain engineer, where he developed fulfillment systems to move packages from Amazon's warehouses to customers' homes. Before founding Instacart, Apoorva had tried to start at least 20 other services. He tried building an ad network for social gaming companies, and developing a social network specifically for lawyers, among other start-ups. Instacart originally launched in San Francisco. By April 2015, the firm had about 200 employees. It introduced a new policy around June allowing some shoppers to choose to be part-time employees, starting with Chicago and Boston and extending its offer to shoppers in Atlanta, Miami, and Washington D.C. the following month.
