Tanknology, a United Uptime Services Company, a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry, is looking for experienced, energetic, hardworking Operations Manager, you will receive on-the-job training to gain a comprehensive understanding of fuel management for facilities with above and below-ground storage systems. This role involves learning about the equipment, documentation, and procedures necessary for conducting inspections.

What You Will Do:
Responsibilities will include establishing business plans, developing marketplace opportunities, overseeing internal processes, and providing employee leadership in the achievement of common goals.

How You Will Do It:
  • Own safety across the Northeast business, ensure customer and organization policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Leads a team of field service personnel in a common direction aligned with the organization's core values.
  • Provides leadership to the functions of field service personnel and office staff.
  • Maintains positive employee relations and maximum productivity by fostering open communication throughout the region.
  • Build a talent bench. Own the development and succession planning for all levels of leadership in the region.
  • Own driving capacity of field service personnel headcount including hiring and retention
  • Own the operational relationship of Northeast customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Lead / participate in customer contract negotiation leveraging corporate legal counsel where needed
  • Participates in key customer visits / sales calls, lead operational reviews with the customer
  • Solution and problem-solving mindset to ensure customer issues are being addressed in region and beyond with applicable customers
  • Responsible for the Northeast P&L and all related decisions impacting revenue and profit (i.e. staffing, expenditures, etc)
  • Own the overall financial health of the Northeast business including decision making balancing growth and profitability
  • Own growth of the Northeast business. Partner with sales to identify growth areas and ensure delivery capability.
  • Ownership of business renewals for the Northeast business
  • Leads forecasting process and monitors financial performance on a monthly basis against plans and forecasts.
  • Approves estimates for new contracts with key assigned accounts
  • Attend and participate in corporate strategy meetings and initiatives
  • Stay current on state and local regulations that deal with UST/AST
  • Verify required testing and inspection procedures and time frames within federal, state, county and city regulations
  • Participation at industry events, including trade shows, conferences and committee meetings
  • Ensure there's always capacity in the region to schedule inspectors, confirm dates and times with customers according to specifications • Review test results as needed • Notify customer and necessary agencies on failures • Handle customer calls/emergencies
