Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, or related field is preferred.
• Industry certifications (CHSO, OHST, ASP, etc.) are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a drilling/completions/construction/pipeline safety role in oil and gas.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in EHS/regulatory role in the upstream oil and gas sector.
• Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements and experienced in EHS management systems.
• Availability for weekends, holidays, and callouts is necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Attend and document pre-shift safety meetings.
• Perform and document stop-work actions as necessary.
• Prepare reports on contractor performance for business unit and EHS.
• Conduct drill site observation and document corrective actions.
• Organize hazard hunts and document resolution of found issues.
• Provide presentations and training on site-specific safety orientation.
• Verify contractor compliance with EHS programs and regulatory documents.
• Monitor and report contractor safety targets.
• Assist EHS in performing contractor evaluations and reviews.
• Review contractors' Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
• Participate in incidents/accidents investigation and follow-up.
• Communicate EHS expectations to contractors and site personnel.
• Document all incidents and near misses and assist in developing corrective actions as needed.
