Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant/Clinic Manager

Lincoln Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center located in Durham, NC, is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant/Clinic Manager for our school-based clinic. The ideal candidate will be an experienced clinician with previous experience and interest in adolescent medicine. Experienced Providers with an ardent desire to provide excellent care to marginalized communities are encouraged to apply. OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:

Provides primary health care to patients of the John Lucas Wellness Center under the supervision of a physician. In addition, promotes wellness education for the student body through outreach activities of the Wellness Center. Serves as principal contact to the Hillside High School and Hillside New Tech administration. Provide supervisory and administrative support for the program.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Thorough medical knowledge and excellent clinical assessment skills within the scope of the Mid-level practitioner. Ability to manage and work in an environment in a school setting. Awareness and acceptance of cultural differences and ability to adapt practice skills to fit cultural context. Ability to provide outstanding customer service to patients, parents, and staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION:

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Must have a current license to practice in the State of North Carolina. Certification in designated field preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Mid-level Provider preferred. Previous experience in an administrative or supervisory role is also preferred.
