Position Highlights• Full-time Hematology/Oncology practice• Work under the supervision and mentorship of experienced Hematology/Oncology physicians• No call responsibilities• Collaborative and supportive team environment• Opportunity to perform bone marrow biopsies (if interested and trained)• Dedicated focus on comprehensive cancer care and symptom management
ResponsibilitiesThe NP or PA will provide direct patient care to Hematology and Oncology patients throughout the continuum of treatment, including:• Conducting follow-up visits and routine patient evaluations• Seeing patients throughout chemotherapy and treatment regimens• Managing urgent and same-day sick visits• Providing survivorship and post-treatment care• Delivering comprehensive symptom management and supportive care• Educating patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and care plans• Collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary care teams• Supporting patients in achieving their treatment goals and maintaining quality of lifePerforming bone marrow biopsies, if desired and appropriately credentialed
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of Hematology/Oncology or Internal Medicine experience
- Experience managing complex medical conditions and chronic disease
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active California NP or PA license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA License
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered oncology care
