Nursing Manager - Behavioral Health to lead our adolescent behavioral health team and help shape the future of care within our organization.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong nursing leader who is passionate about
culture change, staff development, patient safety, and growth. The Nursing Manager will play a key role in developing a high-performing team and preparing the unit to safely care for patients with
higher acuity and increasingly complex behavioral and medical needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the Behavioral Health nursing unit.
- Lead positive culture change, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop staff skills, competencies, and accountability to support growth and higher-acuity patient care.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, orientation, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and safe work environment.
- Monitor quality and patient safety outcomes and implement improvements as needed.
- Serve as a clinical role model and provide direct patient care as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Support the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Current Maine RN license required.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 5 years of Behavioral Health clinical experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience required.
- CPI training preferred or must be obtained during orientation.
- Strong communication, leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading teams through change and growth preferred.
- Experience with higher-acuity behavioral health patients preferred.
