Job Overview

The Neurologist provides comprehensive specialty care for patients with disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles. The role evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages a broad range of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, migraine, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, neuropathy, dementia, and other related disorders. The Neurologist collaborates with primary care, specialty, and interdisciplinary teams to promote timely access, coordinated care, continuity, and high-quality patient outcomes.

Minimum Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Neurology.
  • Valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California.
  • Board certification in Neurology required or board eligibility with the expectation of obtaining board certification within 18 months of employment.
  • Current DEA registration and controlled substance certification, as required for the position.
  • Education, training, and experience sufficient to meet AltaMed's malpractice insurance underwriting requirements.
  • A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
  • Previous experience with computer-based systems required; Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese may be preferred based on location.


Compensation

$293,546.24 - $366,932.80 annually
