Qualifications

• BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Proficient in writing high-quality C/C++/Go/Python code
• 16+ years of hands-on development experience specifically in network protocols
• Expertise in design and development of large-scale control plane protocols like BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
• Experience with Layer 2 technologies such as STP and MSTP.
• Skilled in troubleshooting large-scale deployments.
• Knowledge of model-based manageability frameworks using YANG, XML, JSON

Responsibilities

• Triage and resolve internal and customer-found issues
• Write detailed Feature Specifications and required designs
• Implement improvements and new features independently or as a team member
• Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries
• Conduct peer reviews of engineering documents including Feature Specs and Test Plans
• Enhance performance and scalability of existing solutions
• Mentor new hires and assist with their onboarding process
• Collaborate with product teams to comprehend and address new requirements
• Manage project planning, scheduling, and status reporting for customer delivery
• Drive initiatives for enhancing quality and scaling of products
• Engage in architecture and design discussions for new engineering projects
• Consider patenting innovations related to products
• Participate in technical industry engagements such as papers and talks
